Hi

I'm a rookie trying to get a store up and running (600 + products). I have got as far as getting easy populate in my Admin->Catalog menu, when I click on EasyPopulate I get the following error:

Warning: main(includes/database_tables.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /usr/www/users/sgbaor/catalog/admin/easypopulate.php on line 162

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required 'includes/database_tables.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php/') in /usr/www/users/sgbaor/catalog/admin/easypopulate.php on line 162

I did not install PHP, mySQL or osCommerce, these services were provided by my hosting company free ie with no support, so I have no idea on how to fix the easypopulate.php file or find the database_tables.php.

I am not a devloper, clearly a rookie on a massive learning curve, would appreciate being steared in the right direction wether its toward the documentation (may have missed something) or if this is a known problem toward the known solution :'(

Hi to you,

Did you use an external ftp program to download your files edit them in say Microsoft Notepad and then re-upload to your server.

DO NOT USE osC file manager it has a bug that has not been cleared.

If you don't have an ftp PM me and I will send you the link to the 100% FREE one that I use

Kind Regards,

Michelle.

thanks Michelle!

I used the explorer that comes with MS windows XP (dont laugh, like I said I'm a rookie!)...I did however use dreamweaver (dont be impressed...it took me a while to figure it out) to add the code as described in the manual (installation and configuration instructions step 3).

Yes please send link to free FTP (what do you mean by "PM" ?)

Just so that I learn from this, whats your thinking, would this pottentialy sort out these errors, would I need to revisit the code once I use you FTP and go through the process again?

Thanks

Warren

Hi Warren,

Sorry for delay in replying to PM look at this link: http://siamsavers.com/images/S20S_warren.jpg

It should explain it!

It is always a good policy to create and save backups of any file edits or at least a dummy copy of osC original files if you didn't do this just download and save to your computer from here:

http://www.oscommerce.com/solutions/downloads

Personally I use windows Notepad for quick editing or I use this one:

php designer (FREE)

The ftp link is: ftp program (100% FREE)

Yea just go back over any changes and ftp to your server always a good idea to do.

Then see if errors disappear. I hope they will.

Kind Regards,

Michelle.
