linking products

similar to the "customers who bought this product, also bought" module, is there a way or a contribution to display "you may be also interested in these products:" and link everything that has a similar product title?

 

such as:

viewing band shirt

 

on the bottom of the page, will show:

band hooded sweatshirt, band button, band sticker, etc

That's too vague a requirement. Define "similar".

 

Can't you just use the x-sell contribution and add related products manually?

once my site is finished, there will be far too many products to link them all together manually.

 

by "similar" i mean - the same band name?

I mentioned the other one because if you do not specify explicitly cross-sell products it picks up random ones from the same category. So theoretically once you finish with the main cross-sell you could replace that one file.
