uploading pictures

i am so new to this. can anyone tell me how to upload an image to a catagory? :blink:

I am new to OSC as well, but if i am no wrong, when you adding new catgory, there is an option to uload picture for category too?

You must have set right permissions on the folder on your web server.

Depends on how you want to do it, and what you're adding an image for, is it to change out like the oscommerce.gif file? Well either way your images directory is inside the main catalog directory so it should look like this

 

catalog/images/(whatever image you want to upload)

 

Now how do you upload them this is very simple and depends on your server,

 

a) you can go in manually through the admin on your website, look for the catalog directory and go in there and in the images and upload manually.

 

B) you can ftp in your website and find the catalog/images directory and ftp the images into the directory.
