Guest Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 Hi! Well, I've done a few changes lately on my site, like categ on front page and infobox skins and cdybamic metatags. And now, what I se...it's not what I had! :) I had the shop nicely centered, 800X..., column right aligned with column left, categ on front page displayed after the text I wrote with define mainpage. Now that's all scarmbled. Plus the skin I chose for my infoboxes doesn't show on categories box. So, if some one could tell how things stand on my site...it'd be great! maybe offer me a print screen to see for myself... Thank you! My scrambled webpage
♥Vger Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 When I first went to your site the Categories box border and heading were there, but they disappeared as soon as I moved to another page. I suspect you have a problem with caching for this box and would suggest that if you have Use Cache set to true in your osC admin panel that you set it to false. You should also look at your site using the Firefox browser, because tables which have no border in Internet Explorer (at least none visible) show borders when using a Mozilla based browser. Vger
Guest Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 Thanks a lot! I checked Use cache and it's set to true. What else could be the problem? Could it have to do with installing Categories on front page? Because when I did that, I deleted some lines in categories.php if I remember correctly , which concerned something about preorder, because it gave me an error . I hope I haven't messed everything! Oh, and I have no where to look at the site using Firefox... What should I do?
♥Vger Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 The Firefox browser is another Browser you can use. You can download it for free here: http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/ There is also an add-on for Firefox called Developer Tools, which you should select to download. This will give you another bar on the top of your browser with many useful tools to check the code in your website. Did setting Use Cache to 'false' make any difference? Vger
Guest Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 1. I love you! :) I set it t false...now it's ok. Plus, I've made some changes my self and the columns are where they should be. 2. Thanks for the firefox tip, I new it was a browser, but it never crossed my mind that I could get for free just like that. So, i'll check it out!
