Generate random password

when a customer orders, after they finalise payment can the system automatically generate a random code (password) which is specific to the order, show this password to the customer and store it in the database (unencoded).

 

 

 

 

is there a mod for this?

osCommerce does it like this in password_forgotten.php:

 

      $new_password = tep_create_random_value(ENTRY_PASSWORD_MIN_LENGTH);
     $crypted_password = tep_encrypt_password($new_password);

 

It wouldn't be difficult to get this into checkout_process.php :D
