Information Box

I have tried to create a download page putting it in the information box. What I have done so far is rename the specials.php file. Made all the necessary changes. It works, but it calls the same information from the specials.php. What I trying to do is not put a download in the Catalog section but in the information box. I want to have the same access to he downloads catagroies as if they were in the catalog section. Does anyone know how to or can it be done. Put a download link in the information box and have the same capability as the Categories.

To put any link in the Information box you need to add it to includes/boxes/information.php, and also add it to the list in includes/languages/english.php (or whichever language you are using)

I did all that. It works. But, it calls the same information from the specials.php. I need it not to do that. I have it working but I do not want the specials information. I need to put seperate information.
