trustco Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 i was testing a contribution, and i copied all my files from the server to local. lo and behold, things went badly. i don't know if i screwed up some code, or what, but i got a TON of errors. so i opted to just copy the files back to the server. now, since i have done that, i get this error in my OSC admin CP: Error: Backup directory is not writeable. how is this fixable? thanks
UnseenMenace Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 It may be that the backup directory located in /catalog/admin has incorrect permissions mine is set at 707 not certain if this is your issue but its worth checking !
trustco Posted September 24, 2005 Author Posted September 24, 2005 rock on! i changed the permissions, and it works now...yay! thanks man
mushindo Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 /admin/backups/ set that folder to either CHMOD 707 or 777 IF your admin folder is password protected. Either will resolve your issue. Sincerely, Bruce 19 contributions submitted
