inversor Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 This a really basic stuff, and it will help a lot of people like my that didnt know this... when you try to find an answor for your question in the search option above, you will most shurelly get like thousands of topics and not many are related to what you need, and most shurely you will be stuck for hours or maybe days tryng to find what you are looking for, well NO MORE!!! i was amazed when i found the search help, next to the search button and it says some really important tip to make your searchs a lot more effective 1) when you try to find at least two words, in the search you have to put a + before the word your tryng to find, for example: search for +ketchup +mayonese and you will find only topics that have both of this words, like a hamburger :P 2)when you search for: ketchup mayonese you wont get both words in the topic that is displayed, just one of those words, and thousands of topics 3)if u didnt know this advanced searchs, there are some more so go to advanced search help, next to the search button, it really changed my nooby life :thumbsup:
♥Vger Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 Another tip for searching for things in osCommerce - run the search on Google. They don't have a mimimum number of letters in a word on a search, and it reduces load on these servers. Vger
