OSC is not sending mail using Debian

This is my first oscommerce server - I'm using Debian Sarge. I have configured the Debian server to forward email to my smarthost - another local server on my network. I tested from the shell and everything works.

 

Sending an email from oscommerce and I get nothing. I watched the logs of my smarthost and I don't see the mail getting there.

 

I have email configured to use sendmail in osc and in my php.ini.

 

Could someone advise on what steps I can take next in the troubleshooting process.

Problem solved, I had to configure the php.ini for smtp.
