A client of ours is having ... problems.

First he couldn?t setup OSCommerce, then he breaks it.

Error on the site on the front catalog page:

Warning: main(includes/configure.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /usr/home/pcz4u/public_html/catalog/includes/application_top.php on line 29

Warning: main(includes/configure.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /usr/home/pcz4u/public_html/catalog/includes/application_top.php on line 29

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required 'includes/configure.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /usr/home/pcz4u/public_html/catalog/includes/application_top.php on line 29

This is what our client says:

"and when i try and change the file Index.php in catalog, included, languages

then english"

"I ALSO GET THE ERROR MESSAGE ABOVE IF I TRY AND CHANGE THE ADMIN FOLDER

INSIDE OF THE CATALOF FOLDER. ITS LIKE THIS ON ALL OF THEM IT MIGHT BE ME

IM PROB GETIN CONFUSED WITH ALL THE INFORMATION AND CHANGES YOUVE GIVEN ME"

If anyone can work out what he has done with it from that, you're doing better than me.

Any one have any suggestions?

If you look at the last post in this thread I explain about folder and file permissions for osCommerce:

http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=171164

It's most likely that this is at the root of the problem.  If the files are actually 'there' then they can't be seen because the folder permisisons are wrong.

Vger

Looks like a permission problem and a misplaced / for one of the paths in configure.php - Ta.
