Guest Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 Hello, I hope someone can help me with this question. First time using oscommerce and we are setting up a store using and need to be able to have different prices for different logins in the shop. Basically both consumers and wholesellers can purchase products in the store, but naturally wholesellers have different prices than the consumers. How can we tie one set of prices to the group of consumers and one set of prices to the group of wholesellers? Can this be done in oscommerce? Extending this question, how do you create user groups in oscommerce? I.e. everyone who signs up in the store normally will see consumer prices, wholesellers need to be switched to the wholeseller group manually by the admin. How can this be accomplished. Thanks in advance for any help, :: marcus
MoisesZaragoza Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 WHat I would do is upload the DB in a diferend DB server and have a link for holesale. This will use the same interface at the end of the day the code will be good

Guest Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 WHat I would do is upload the DB in a diferend DB server and have a link for holesale. This will use the same interface <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have thought about running two databases too, but then we have to maintain 2 databases - doubling every update and change to products and prices. I would prefer to just use one shop for both customer types. Assuming that I understood correctly what you suggested. Thanks,
Guest Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 I have found a contribution that let's you define different prices to a user group. Does anyone know of a module that extends this to shipping costs and minimum order value. I.e. wholesellers don't just have different purchase prices but also differnt shipping costs and minimums than consumers. Thanks, :: marcus

radders Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 Probably Separate Pricing Per Customer (Just pipped at the post!)
Guest Posted September 26, 2005 Posted September 26, 2005 Yes the contribution I mentioned is Seperate Prices Per Customer as the previous posters indicated. It's a nice tool. Unfortunately it doesn't allow you to set seperate minimum order values for differnt user groups, something that I need and I don't know yet how to implement that. If anyone has any ideas or experience with this module, any help would be greatly appreciated.
