Reinstalling BUT keeping the catalog - how?

I am thinking about reinstalling osCommerce due to some problems, but I am happy with with my database.

Will my database be intact if I just leave the "Install the database and add the sample data"-box unchecked?

(I have made a backup of all my images as well since I?m aware they?re not stored in the database).

Would be EXTREMELY grateful for input here! :) :thumbsup:
