After downloading the contribution and opening it, many folders have the same name as others already on our server. Are these subfolders or what?

Reading the posts here indicate that many new contributions can be added to the affiliate package. This is confusing to me, and I'd like to know just exactly what files need to be put into which folders, to get going with an affiliate contribution.

So what is the exact step-by-step plan to get up and running? Or a link to the discussion if these questions have already been answered.

Thanks a million!

First read the documentation that came with the package - then use the forum search feature to find 'affiliate' :-"

Matti,

It seems easy for some to install but it is confusing for some of us. The docs say "... Upload all files to corresponding folders of your osCommerce site."

For example, is this an appropriate path for installing some files?

/www/www/oscommerce-2.2ms2/oscommerce-2.2ms2/catalog/catalog/catalog/includes/affiliate_configure.php

/www/www/oscommerce-2.2ms2/oscommerce-2.2ms2/catalog/admin/admin/admin/includes/affiliate_configure.php

Or am I way off? :'(
