Simple recommendations list on product page..

I think this would be useful.

 

When adding a new product you can select other items in your store that relate to that item.

 

So when a user goes to, for example, a page selling a 'Baseball', somewhere on the page would be a list:

 

- Related Items

Baseball Bat

Baseball Pads

Baseball DVD

 

This would work better if you could edit these 'relationships' from the admin page rather than them being automated.

 

It could be a simple 'Insert HTML' option, then the shopowner could the HTML links manually.

 

I guess there is a way to do this without a module of the above? Or maybe this has already been done :-"

there is a family products with x-sell and I think this should give you the ability to specify the relationships.
