fishpaste Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 Hi - just a hopefully simple question.. I'm setting up a couple of osCOmmerce stores for clients, everything works fine apart from the Admin login..!! no matter which computer I work at I simply type in www.mysite.com/shop/admin and it takes me straight into the admin section.. without asking for passwords etc etc ... this can't be right.. While I've been learning I've tried numerous installations - via Fantastico cPanel, and using a bought copy of osCommerce along with a template... and I always get the same results.. how the hell do I make this thing secure?? thanks in advance.. :D

lucilue2003 Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 You need to use your hosting control panel to secure it or htaccess, there is no security within osc <{POST_SNAPBACK}> the admin under my OSC will ask for a user name and password Make sure that you have a table under or mysql for admin and make sure that there is a row of data for that table. Also, try to clear all your cahce and temp files..
