erikwoods Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 I searched the forums and the contributions to find out how to get rid of the "what's new this month" section of the main content. I'm using STS 2.1. If you go to the store I'm currently working on, you will see that I have a very minimal setup. I only want to display the $content and breadcrumbs and account stuff up top. I don't want to display what's new. I'll make my own code for the products that are for sale either on the main part or the right column. Haven't decided yet. If you go to my store please realize this site is in it's early development. There are a lot of visual things on there that will be modified- mainly the text sizes and such. So yes I know everything is squished together as of now. Thanks to anyone who can help.
erikwoods Posted September 21, 2005 Author Posted September 21, 2005 also, for some reason when you click on the "click to enlarge" image for the product, it doesn't work. Any ideas why? It worked before I implemented STS but it does not now. I'd either like to fix that or disable it all together. Thanks.
erikwoods Posted September 21, 2005 Author Posted September 21, 2005 Another thing I'd like to do is get rid of the text that says "What's new here?" on the main catalog page above the "welcome guest" part. Where do I go to edit that?
erikwoods Posted September 21, 2005 Author Posted September 21, 2005 I figured out how to get rid of the new products module (I just deleted the code for it in catalog/includes/modules) and I fixed my thumbnail problem, but I'm still searching for the "What's new here?" part on the main page.
erikwoods Posted September 21, 2005 Author Posted September 21, 2005 Ok I found it. I wish someone would have told me where it was. It took me forever to find this crap. By the way- is it safe to just delete the code for new_products.php to opt out of using it like I wanted?
mickotoole Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 It looks like you're on your own here!!! Sorry but I haven't got into it that much yet, I'm still in talks with my hosting provider trying to get SSL sorted!!!
erikwoods Posted September 21, 2005 Author Posted September 21, 2005 Good luck with that man. I'd help if I knew what I was doing... but honestly I'm a newbie to this.
