http://www.neverbetter.com is the online home of Root Concepts Stickers. as you can see, there wasn't much design budget, but they came up with some great category icons. their catalog kind of turns it into an art gallery, something they were shooting for from the start.

of course, it's not finished, but it's live and doing business. your comments are much appreciated.

The dark green text on the black background is difficult to read. I suggest a lighter text color on the black background.

Not a fan of sites with black backgrounds in general and dislike them more when you can not really read what is printed on them. I am with moon, I suggest lightening the font color. It's super hard to read.

i agree. what we're looking at doing is separating out the styles for the infobox text and the body text styles. thanks for your input!

i like black backgrounds for art and music sites. in this case, they made all the color and background calls and decided to reproduce the look of their print catalog. i tried to talk them out of one or the other in the beginning, the black and grey image background, but they weren't having it. some things you let people learn for themselves;)

Again what has been pointed out, the font colour on the black background is a really bad idea. Not just from a design/preference point of view mentioned above, but because i think it's 40% of males (including myself) suffer from some sort of colour blindness.

In my case it's the colour green. To read the text I had to highlight the text, something which a customer in my position would more than likely not be willing to do. I recommend changing it to a pale grey, white text is too harsh but grey it easy on the eyes.
