aclema Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 I've been out to the contributions site but haven't really found what I'm looking for. I found contributions for purchasing discounts but they aren't really what I'm looking for. What I am looking to do is provide my customers special pricing for example: Buy this items for $4.50 each or 5 for $18. I don't want it to have to be 5 of the same item. I want it to work for 5 like items or 5 items in that category but not the whole store. Any suggestions??
Guest Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 how about this? http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,1242
aclema Posted September 20, 2005 Author Posted September 20, 2005 how about this?http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,1242 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Looks like this is for volume discounts. As if they purchsed 5 of the same item. I want them to be able to pick 5 items in the same category to receive the discount.
Jan Zonjee Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 Looks like this is for volume discounts. As if they purchsed 5 of the same item. I want them to be able to pick 5 items in the same category to receive the discount.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Something like that was coded for Quantity Price Breaks for Separate Pricing Per Customer (see version 1.02). I bet you can use that code without any changes for the regular Quantity Price Breaks contribution. You set a price break for a particular volume bought of a product, but what counts for the volume is the total number of items you buy from the same category. So say you buy 2 products A1, 3 products A2, both from the same category and the customer pays a price per item as if he bought 5 pieces of A1 and 5 pieces of A2. Does that makes sense? It sounds like what you are looking for.
