Accessories/Options showing up wrong

Ok.. I manually edited a couple products in order to download EP so I could see how it gets put into the spreadsheet.

 

I have a problem. My product Hunchback is supposed to have an optional accessory of black boots.

 

I created an accessory named "None" and one named "Black Boots +2.00"

Well, they show up, unfortunately they show up seperately instead of both in the same drop-down. Therefore it is forcing someone to purchase the optional black boots.

 

Can someone please tell me how to fix this on the admin side so that None and Black Boots are in the same drop-down box?

I'm not sure what your website is, but I'll try to help.

 

You should have a "Product Option" called "Boots" (or something).

Then, you should have "Option Values" set up for your "Boots"

product option.

 

So, under "Product Option", you have "Boots" and under

"Option Values", you have two different values set up:

1) Option Name "Boots" with a value of "None"

2) Option Name "Boots" with a value of "Black Boots"

 

The price is entered when you assign the option to the

particular product.

 

If you want to see how it all looks on the spreadsheet for

Easy Populate, I would set up a test product and then

export it using EP.

 

Here is one of my products that has options set up the same

way you are trying to set up your boots:

Airedale Portrait

 

And here is what the spreadsheet cells look like for product

Ok.. I am still running into problems.. When I downloaded the spreadsheet, it still showed the options (colors and boots) on items that it did not belong.

 

Any ideas?

Are you saying that you are dowloading the

products from osCommerce to a spreadsheet?

 

Or, are you uploading the products from a

spreadsheet to osCommerce?

When I download the complete file from EP to my computer and open it so I can see how it is set-up, I see that the accessories are listed for all products.

 

Here is an example

Notice how the software has the option of Black Boots and Colors? It does not show up this way on the website nor in the attribute area of admin, but it is downloading it in this manner.

I was going to download mine and see how it looks, but I keep getting a time out error. I have more than 3,500 products. I'll need to check into that.

 

I definitely see what you mean, and I don't think it should look that way. There is a special forum under Contributions for EP. I would post the problem on that forum and see if anyone can help.
