Shipping comes up as Zero

Hi all, was wondering if you could help me out.

 

I've installed the USPS shipping methods before with no problems, but on this site, it comes up with the shipping set to zero (See image). I've tried using pounds and ounces for the shipping weight, and the tare weight is set to 1.

 

My search of the forums comes up to no avail.

 

I've got the zip set properly, and for the most part, everything else works. Any ideas on why this is coming up like this?

The only thing that I see right off the bat is that the weight is "0.1 lbs". From what I understand, the weight is supposed to be in full pounds. Maybe they are picking the weight up as zero.

 

Have you tried changing the product to weigh 1 lb or 2 lbs?

I changed the weight to 2 pounds, but it still isn't picking it up.

Another thought.....

 

In your initial post, the page showed:

United States Postal Service (0 x 0.1lbs)

 

I'm not sure why the quantity was zero.

 

Is it now showing:

United States Postal Service (0 x 2lbs)?

 

Your quantity should be at least 1. That

might be where the problem is. Obviously,

zero times two equals zero; so, the USPS

is calculating based on zero still.

Hmm, you bring up a good, obvious point. What would keep it from seeing an item quantity, I wonder?

 

It's not reading the quanityt or the weight. I've modded some files, but not to the extent that it would mess anything up, I think.

 

Would it make a difference that I am sharing the USPS shipping username/password from another site store?

I don't think it matters that you are using the USPS account with another store. The problem seems to be within your osCommerce, since it is bringing in a quantity of zero. Is it doing that no matter what you add to the shopping cart?

 

I have not experienced that problem. I recommend starting a new post here

on the forum with that particular problem. It is beyond my scope.
