DorianJ Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 I've never used the administration 'Tools' to send an e-mail. When composing an e-mail there is a pop-up menu for selecting the recipient. One of the options is to send an e-mail to 'All Customers'. I want to use this feature, BUT I don't know how the e-mail will be formatted. I don't want there to be a huge list of all my customer's names to the 'To' field of the e-mail. Does it use the 'Bcc' feature to hide all of the recipients or will they all be visible? -Dorian
Guest Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 it does not use bcc it sends a separate email to each customer. To see how its formatted create an account and send an email to yourself
DorianJ Posted September 18, 2005 Author Posted September 18, 2005 Thank you. I had done a test e-mail to myself and saw that it puts my name and e-mail address in plain view in the 'To:' field. That's why I was reluctant to send an e-mail with all the customers' names in this field. To make sure I understand you correctly, if I have 3,000 customers, this means it will send out 3,000 separate e-mails? What is the difference in sending a Newsletter rather than an e-mail? -Dorian
Guest Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 yes it will go as a separate email. newsletters are send to those who tick the newsletter option. there is also an option in admin to write a newsletter.
