AndyHearne2005
Hi I currently have a site hosted somewhere for my cousin - now current one is H Sphere and new one is C Panel. Main reason for the change is because the other people don't support SSL I was just wondering if the site gets transferred will the files on the site be effected by the swap and if I just do a complete backup will I be ok? Thanks

Thanks <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I suppose that by just backing up you sql database and your files will be ok. Do not forget to check for files that are writable on your old host! If a file is writtable, it must be chmod to writtable when you upload it on your new host too! Good luck Spyros Spyros
Wendy James
You will also need to change your catalog/includes/configure.php and catalog/admin/includes/configure.php to show the new directory paths and database information. Oh, and some contributions may need to be edited if they require the directory path or anything else that would be host specific. Not many do though but thought I would mention it. VPSsupport
Hello, I have moved my database and shop over to a new host and have changed the setings in the two configure.php files but I am getting this error: Warning: mysql_connect(): Access denied for user: 'ndi335_osc1@localhost' (Using password: NO) in /home/ndi335/public_html/shop/includes/functions/database.php on line 19 Unable to connect to database server! Also I reset my password in these files to blank -how do I change the password? Any suggestions? Thanks Regards, Clive
