Is it possible to get rid of the bullet points?

Im new to all this, On the Homepage is it possible to get rid of the bullet points? and show products or something else?

 

Really I would like a description of what my company do etc because the bullet points are ugly.

You mean the default index page text? Maybe you should *read* the text, because it tells you how to change it.
