Guest Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 Is there any documentation or easy steps for moving a huge catalog with over 400 products to a new server so we dont have to totally re-input every single little item?

Not sure if this is the same for all servers though.
Guest Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 Take a backup of your database, then download all the files. Change the config.php (both) files to the settings for your new store. Upload to the new server. use the database backup to populate your new database and it should work. There should be an entry for this in the Documentation area. Maybe someone will write a more thorough answer. I know Mibble has detailed it better than this. Ask him.
Guest Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 I'm not sure what you mean by change the config.php

♥Vger Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 The changes have to be made to the TWO configure.php files (not config.php), and the changes will involve the pathway from the root, and database name, MySQL User and Password. Vger
