Headder Tags Question

Hello all,

 

i have install headder tags 5.5 on my new site. the question that i have is,

 

Do i have to create a hedder tag for every page result? what i mean is, if i want someone to be able to find a product call say, canon black inc cartridge, do i have to create a headder tage for every product in my shop?

Header Tags comes with a default set of tags. You can create your own set of tags for each page (it comes with some set up, like for index and product pages).

 

HT = Header Tags

T = Title

A = All

D = Decription

K = Keywords

C = Categories *

 

* Note: The HTCA option only works for the index page. It causes the category name to be displayed in the title.

 

If HTTA is set on (checked), then it says display the Header Tags Title All (default title plus the one you set up).

 

So if you have the option checked, both titles will be displayed. Let's say your title is Mysite and the default title is Oscommerce.

 

With HTTA on, the title is

Mysite Oscommerce

With HTTA off, the title is

Mysite

 

Also i use Easy Populate to upload my products, does anyone know how to populate the headder tag information through easy populate?

If you installed Header Tags according to the insructions, then all of your products are already set up correctly. As for Easy Populate, read the instructions for that contribution. It exlains what you need to do.

yes, buy hold on jack, Easy Populate gives you instructions on uploading based apon a non expaned site/database. My question is, with easy populate how can i upload the header tag information. What colum names do i use ect.....

 

and is this information needed. If not how do i get a better listing as with we ceo i did a ranking of my product example listed above and found that i was 17th. what i want to do is try to improve my ranking.

 

Another question is with search engine submission

 

Should i submit links like

or am i wasting my time.

Please read the instructions for Easy Populate. There are clear and easy directions for enabling it for Header Tags.
