coldclimber
Hi I am this |_| close to finishing my site the only part i am concerned about now is the payment facility. I am not really up to date with merchant account and credit card payments. I have opened a bussiness account and I am looking at getting a merchant account with the Abbey National. I have got the contribution for the latest cc numbers and added that. But how do you implement the merchant account facility on your site for people that pay via Credit card. How does the oscommerce verify the buyers card and how does this then get proccessed to your account. To be honest I do not know where to start with setting up the credit card payment system. I have set the admin to use cc but shurly there must be more to it than that. Is there a walk through and detailed file anywhere that will help you set up your site to accept credit cards. Please note this is a UK site and i wish to be able to accept visa/mastercard/switch/visa electron cards Any help on helping me finish my site would be really appreciated thanks  Climb to Live, Live to climb
♥Vger
Just getting a Merchant account is only one part of the problem. Having a merchant account and access to an online terminal which you can use to manually process card transactions made using the osCommerce CC module is one way of doing it. Another way would be to go to another bank, HSBC or Barclays, who have their own online card processing systems for which there are osCommerce modules available. HSBC's system is called e-Secure and Barclays' is called ePDQ. The HSBC system is the better of the two. You also have access to a terminal to allow you to process credit/debit card orders taken over the phone, or via mail. Vger
