EasyPopulate & Excel Contribution

I am having problems with easypopulate and the excel contribution.

I go into easypopulate and upload EP file option to upload the file and then it comes up and says the following:

File uploaded.

Temporary filename: /var/tmp/php3Bs1a4

User filename: 8DHDistributing-BAGSCARRYCASESACTIVE.txt

Size: 793637

or if I use the Import from temp dire option once I click on insert into db I get this message:

Filename: 8DHDistributing-BAGSCARRYCASESACTIVE.txt

After using either one of these options there are no products in the store. What am I supposed to do next or what am I doing wrong.

When I try to use the Excel Contribution it will add one category to the store with nothing in that category, but I get the error message of:

File uploaded.

Temporary filename: /var/tmp/phpQM9ETr

User filename: 8DHDistributing-BAGSCARRYCASESACTIVE.txt

Size: 792962

1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ')' at line 1

insert into categories(date_added, parent_id) values ('2005-09-12',)

[TEP STOP]

If I could figure out how to fix the error message with the excel contribution I would not have to worry about easypopulate, but I can not figure out how to fix this error message in the excel contribution.

Could someone please help me.
