Rinser
Hello, When I upload the oscommerce files using 'SmartFTP' i have three folders I can put them in: 'cgi-bin', 'htdocs' & 'logs'. I have tried up loading the files to the 'cgi-bin' and 'htdocs' and then going to 'http:\\www.mywebsite.com/install' using Internet explorer but I get an error saying ''The page cannot be found' My Domain host has the following description & requirements: " You need to upload your PHP scripts to the cgi-bin directory in your web space. The script needs to be saved in UNIX format with the extension of .php. All scripts need to have the following permissions. (You should consult your FTP client documentation for information on changing permissions). The first line of each PHP file must start with: #!/usr/bin/php Read Write Execute Owner 4 2 1 Group 4 1 Other 4 1 or, chmod 755. " Does this mean I have to upload all the file to the 'htdocs' folder except for the PHP files which all need to have the first line of the code changed to "#!/usr/bin/php" and then uploaded to the cgi-bin? Also I notice the permissions on folders have to be 777 but, above it says chmod755, do I change this using my ftp client? because it doesnt seem to have the option or does this mean I cant use oscommerce?. Any help would be great Thankyou
