discomonkey Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 Hey Os'ers, I am contemplating whetehr or not to keep search engine friendly urls on. I am in the process of converting my catalog pages to static .php files with the key terms in them to boost ranking. If I have my SID killer turned on, it shouldn't really matter if I have search engine friendly urls turned on or not, right? -Chris
wizardsandwars Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 Static .php files? That's a new one. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NOTE: As of Oct 2006, I'm not as active in this forum as I used to be, but I still work with osC quite a bit. If you have a question about any of my posts here, your best bet is to contact me though either Email or PM in my profile, and I'll be happy to help.
discomonkey Posted September 12, 2005 Author Posted September 12, 2005 I mean, the symbolic link is static really.
Jack_mcs Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 The search engine friendly option in admin doesn't work for most shops and shouldn't be used. The SID killer is so tha SE's don't list SID's in their listings. The SEF setting is just for appearance.
