erikwoods
I'm extremely new to osCommerce and shopping carts in general, and I was wondering if there was any documentation out there to help me mod the osCommerce catalog? I have it installed and everything seems fine, but I want to have a simple page that looks like all the other pages of my website- but has the osCommerce items for the eStore. No extra modules like "What's new this month" or "select a language" or any of that junk. Maybe just login/register buttons or something. So could you point me in the right direction? I'd really appreciate it if you could. Thanks.

Get familiar with the design parts osCommerce has (there is a few very good links here in the forums too, do a search). osC can be made to look whatever you want it to, it just needs more tweaking than a template based system. You may want to look into the contributions for STS and BTS. Personally, I do not use templates, I like to mod the original code. :-) Monika addicted to writing code ... can't get enough of databases either, LOL! my toolbox: Textpad - Compare and Merge - phpMyAdmin - WS_FTP - Photoshop - How to search the forum Interactive Media Award July 2007 ~ category E-Commerce my advice on the forum is for free, PMs where you send me work are considered consultation which I charge for ... erikwoods
Thank you much for the advice. Looks like STS is what i'm looking for. I wish it was more obvious than it was for me to look in this place to accomplish what I was looking for. Regardless, thank you for taking your time to help a newbie such as myself.
