ShowRides
Hello, I need help setting up a free shipping system. I offer free shipping within the 48 contiguous states, and the prices on my site are fine with that. However, is there anyway for oscommerce to charge customers more who aren't within the 48 states? All help is greatly appreciated. Thanks again ;)
GraphicsGuy
I haven't done that, but I believe you can accomplish that by installing one of the Free Shipping contributions and then use zones to restrict the customers that will have that option. Perhaps someone else can detail the process better. Rule #1: Without exception, backup your database and files before making any changes to your files or database. Rule #2: Make sure there are no exceptions to Rule #1.

Use the 48 states zone for the free shipping (alread there in admin, only need to install it), and your other shipping module for the second zone. You will need to decide of course what you would like to charge/which module to use for the second zone. :-) Monika addicted to writing code ... can't get enough of databases either, LOL! my toolbox: Textpad - Compare and Merge - phpMyAdmin - WS_FTP - Photoshop - How to search the forum Interactive Media Award July 2007 ~ category E-Commerce my advice on the forum is for free, PMs where you send me work are considered consultation which I charge for ...
