Cisco
I would like to change one of the fields in the Attributes so that my customers can input data that is required by the customer to tell me about. I have used the contribution Product Attributes - Option Type Feature, but it will not change the dropdown to a textbox for customer data entry. Can anyone give some assistance? OSCnewbie
Can anyone please help with changing a dropdown to a textbox that can save customer input? I have already installed the Attributes Option contribution, but have run into a trouble spot. Where it will not change over. Did you ever get your answer to this issue? If not, please review carefully the README file included with the contribution. I have had the same problem, but upon careful review of those instructions, I was able to resolve the issue. I can't tell you exactly which instruction solved it for me, but I think it had to do with manually updating the 'products_options_values_to_products_options' table to show the TEXT type ID correctly for each product's text attributes (sorry I can't be more clear about this). Also, make sure your 'catalog/includes/configure.php' file has the additional code (also explained in the README file). Hope that helps. --OSCnewbie.
