Guest
Trying to find help on setting up product options and attributes I stumbled across an article in the oscommerce knowledge base. It shows pictures of a great setup that we should have in our admin panel for editing products. For some reason I don't have this set up and really wish I did. I'm running the latest version of oscommerce. I would hate to think that this was included in a previous version. What I have now is definately a couple of steps back. Here is a link to the article. Does anyone know what the story is here? http://www.oscommerce.info/kb/
GraphicsGuy
The knowledgebase is building towards the next release. So it does have significant variations from the current stable release. However, the documentation for the current stable release is availble at the bottom of the downloads page: Documentation for osCommerce 2.2 Milestone 2 Rule #1: Without exception, backup your database and files before making any changes to your files or database. Rule #2: Make sure there are no exceptions to Rule #1.

I'm OK on the documentation but was kind of hoping there was a contribution out there that would do this. Guess I'll just have to wait for the next release. Andy <{POST_SNAPBACK}> maybe I got U wrong but products options or attributes can be set in admin catalog ?! even in current stable release 2.2 dahui
GraphicsGuy
I'm sorry, I didn't catch that part of your question, I was just addressing the documentation. Yes, the current release fully supports control of options/attributes in the admin panel. It just doesn't visually resemble the screen shots of the next release. The instructions for doing this start at the bottom of page 20 of the documentation. Rule #1: Without exception, backup your database and files before making any changes to your files or database. Rule #2: Make sure there are no exceptions to Rule #1.
