tryagain Posted September 11, 2005 Posted September 11, 2005 Is there an easier to install version other than this one: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,355 I have a modified store and this sounds like i may be a difficult install. Thanks
tryagain Posted September 11, 2005 Author Posted September 11, 2005 I have searched the contribution section and have not found anything yet.
GraphicsGuy Posted September 11, 2005 Posted September 11, 2005 I think that is pretty much it. But I can tell you that, using WinMerge, manually inserting the code for PWA really wasn't that bad. And I too have many contributions installed and some custom code. The main thing is to be sure and backup first (but since you already have installed many contributions, you already know that). If your store is already live, try it first on a test copy of your store. When you know it's working, then copy the altered files over to the live store during a slow time of day. Rule #1: Without exception, backup your database and files before making any changes to your files or database. Rule #2: Make sure there are no exceptions to Rule #1.
tryagain Posted September 11, 2005 Author Posted September 11, 2005 How does it work with the paypal ipn mod? I have been changing the coding and this seems to be the biggest change. I plan on testing when I get home.
GraphicsGuy Posted September 11, 2005 Posted September 11, 2005 How does it work with the paypal ipn mod? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm afraid that I don't know the answer to that for certain. I have a merchant account and use the Linkpoint API. But I think I have seen stores where both contribs were installed. But there again, the key will be to manually merge it and test it on an experimental store. Rule #1: Without exception, backup your database and files before making any changes to your files or database. Rule #2: Make sure there are no exceptions to Rule #1.
tryagain Posted September 12, 2005 Author Posted September 12, 2005 Seems to work great, I don't recall how to test paypal though.
