installing / set up HTTPS://

Hi

 

I have been trying for hours to work out how to do this https://www.

 

Where do I start and what should I do please. I am using ixwebhosting for my domain host just in case there is anyone here who has or is using them to make it easier to reply to my question.

 

I will be very grateful for any help I get on this.

No, not really. I need to check out your ssl certificate, and for that I need a website address.

Okay, you don't have a full ssl certificate of your own, so you need to use the shared certificate provided by your hosting company. Before you can setup your configure.php files to use it you need to find out from them what your shared certificate address is. Without knowing that it's not possible to go any further.

This is still not working :( , what is wrong with this code? They gave me this... https://analizadiaz.ixwebhosting.com/ as the ssl certificate, does it look like the right certificate? They are useless when it comes to trouble shooting and they take 3 days to reply to my trouble tickets?!

If the information they supplied is correct then that should work.

Where I said 'yourusername' etc you should already have those in place - as your website is currently working.

 

You should set the last line to 'mysql' to store sessions in the database - much more secure than storing sessions in files on a shared server.
