Remove define text

Hi,

I removed the define text from /includes/english/index.php. And it worked like a charm. The only thing is at the top of the page where the text used to be is this TEXT_MAIN , how and where do get that removed. I would also like to add some custome text to the index page.

You don't remove TEXT_MAIN, because it is this function that allows you to put your own text on that page.

 

define('TEXT_MAIN', 'This is where your text and/or html goes');

Ok,

I got a little understanding of the index.php page but when I add more than one line of information and upload the page it goes blank. What don't I understand here. When it says put you information here.

Are you editing the page from the file manager or downloading, editing and reuploading?

 

Also, are you sure you don't lose some code when adding yours?

As Vger pointed out your text has to go between a ' and ');

Also, if you use words with apostrophes you must put a \ in it

like

we're would be we'\re

If you still have problems with it you can post the page here and maybe someone could spot the problem.

I have my EP setup, I can upload files, get them into my catalog/temp folder and see them but they are just sitting there. Not sure how to make them go ahead and integrate with my store.

Well, I meant Easy Populate. I *thought* this was the right place to stick the question, I *thought* I was in the easy populate forum but I think I didn't post in the right spot accidently.
