Displaying Qty against option

Folks - Hope you can help as I am not sure how to represent my catalogue.

I am selling helmets and they come in different sizes and I also have different quantities of Small, Medium, Large etc.

Do I need to set up a separate product item for each size or can I represent size quantities against one product description?

Any help would be grateful.

I think that you should add the sizes in as Categories

and then add the products under the Categories

Thanks for the response but I also have other products and my Categories would read:-

S

M

L

XL

XXL

Glasses

I would like it to read

Ski Helmets

Snowboard Helmets

BMX Helmets

Glasses

Goggles

etc etc.....

Any more thoughts?

I am facing a similar task.

So far I ended up looking into these contributions. It seems they will do the job, only I am currently trying to figure out what I need to do to get them to work. I guess that you have to use both to work, but that's where I'm stuck now. If you look into it, you will see. If you solve the mystery, let me know!

Hope it helps :D

I would set up the item as the product, use the size as an option. As suggested, you might want to add weight to attributes for shipping calculation. To track inventory with attributes you'll also need to add a contrib, I think qtpro is the name of the one that does this.

Good luck,

Jeremy
