missing the footer..

for some reason my footer.php and column_right.php are missing from the index.php page

 

the codes are in index.php for them but they don't show up. i even uploaded a stock index.php page and still have this problem. but all the other pages have both the footer and column_right, only the index.php doesn't

 

 

any ideas?
