starpowersports Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 I got another one ... an error problem, that is; 'cept this time it is a WARNING message. I'm just guessing, but I think this may have come about because I must have deleted the FedEx shipping option while setting up my shipping modules - which was a long time ago while first setting up our store. Probably did that because I figured we would only be using either the U.S.Post Office or UPS for all of our shipping needs; so why clutter things up with a FedEx option --- duh, how did I know it was going to haunt me later. So, when I opened up my Shipping area (from the OsCommerce's Administration access) so that I might review the preferences I had set a long time ago, and seen this message : Warning: main(includes/include_once.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/starpowe/.panel/web/ecommerce/os/catalog/includes/languages/english/modules/shipping/fedex.php on line 4 Warning: main(): Failed opening 'includes/include_once.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/starpowe/.panel/web/ecommerce/os/catalog/includes/languages/english/modules/shipping/fedex.php on line 4 I was stunned! Where did that come from? I checked to be sure the files mentioned in the path, existed as such - they did - except there was a missing fedex.php file from ... /includes/modules/shipping/ I thought I could just copy the fedex.php file from another location and put it back in the directory path from where it was missing ...... HA! This only compounded the warning message by adding 3 more instances of the message! Now there are SIX such messages varying in some degree or another fromone another! OMG ... now what? I don't understand why the message repeatedly states that the file is missing or there is no directory as there clearly is a file and it exists in multiple diretory locations. I checked this against another site and I don't see any differences except for the original missing fedex.php file that should have been in this location: /.panel/web/ecommerce/os/catalog/includes/modules/shipping/ I don't know if it makes any diffrence, but I did also check that the user permissions settings all matched as well, oddly the fedex.php file and the table.php are set at 755 while all the other shipping php related files are set at 644. I left them as they were. Please advise, thanks! Babs :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: "What has been, has been, what will come, will come. ♥Vger Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 When you remove modules form osCommerce all you do is to click 'Remove' in your osCommerce admin control panel. You don't just delete them via FTP. However, all of your folders should have permissions of 755, except for images and graphs which should be 777. Vger
starpowersports Posted September 10, 2005 Author Posted September 10, 2005 Hello Vger, Thank you so much for your reply! :) I am a bit perplexed as to your comment: When you remove modules form osCommerce all you do is to click 'Remove' in your osCommerce admin control panel. You don't just delete them via FTP. Now I am really confused (!) as I am wondering if somehow you are thinking, [were thinking] I had removed files via FTP ... ??????? I might ask as to how or why you felt it necessary to inform as such; because I don't believe it to be an applicable statement to my situation....... while, I do open my osCommerce and gain access via my web [hosting] site ---- the fact is, I have never had a different option to accessing my osCommerce application, its data or files; ---- having said that, is that [perhaps] what you are referencing as "...via FTP" ?? ......................................... However, all of your folders should have permissions of 755, except for images and graphs which should be 777. Thank you! I appreciate your advice as to what are the correct user permission settings and will act promptly to remedy my settings. Thanks very much for your help!
