First of all, I would like to apologize because I know y'all probably get many of these - questions about features and whether or not it's right for somebody. But I would greatly appreciate it if someone could help and let me know if this is right for me or if I would have to customize it a lot.

Basically I want to set up a community where the users can kinda set up their on ecommerce store. Let say for example the user wanted to sell stock photos - I want this user to be able to set up an account and let them set their own price for their photos while let say they make 50% of the profit - the other 50% goes towards the site. After so many downloads or purchases - they can earn more %'s of the profit. The closest thing I can relate this to is devianART.com but it's way different than that.

To sum it up I want to make a community (which I can do) and implement a store for each user to be able to sell their uploaded stuff. It doesn't have to be 50 different stores, but can be one and the items linkable to the users it belongs to. So would it be possible for users to upload their own stuff and make some of the profit? Is there a setting for all this - or will I have to customize it extensively?

Thanks for any help. If you're confused about any of this let me know and hopefully I can clear things up.

you will need to add some contributions for that. however if they are products commercially available (ie from music cd's you purchase in stores) I would stay away from that

It's not anything like that - NOTHING ILLEGAL. I'll search the contributions - maybe someone can point me in the right direction.

One word - Ebay.

Once again - not quite. DIGITAL means (programs, templates, photos, etc...), not physical means. I don't want it set up like ebay to, it'll be a community type thing. I've already created the community just looking to incorporate a shop into it. I created a shop, but it's not really good I'll admit. Full of holes.

I don't want an auction site.

Hi, I have a community php site and am looking for the same. A shop that the user has all the control to sell their items and somehow I generate a percentage of the profit. Much like clickbank.com , but with used furniture, art etc.

Have you had any luck finding such a thing?

There is a contribution called multiple shops. It allows you to set up multiple shops each running off of its own admin panel. I just looked at it in passing some time ago and don't know a lot of details. You should be able to search it out.

Yea a found that. I didn't see any details though regarding users adding items. I do know that is very much related to what I wanna do. It would be awesome if I could find a contribution regarding users adding items to the store.
