....how do I go about setting up my secure cart "https"? I have read a forum thread about this but can not make any sence of what I found...

I just need a few simple sentences that will guide me to through the starting point.

TIA

Firstly you already have a SSL installed on the site right? So you can view your site via https://yourdomain.com

If this is setup then just open catalog/includes/configure.php

Look for this:

define('HTTPS_SERVER', 'https://yourdomain.com'); // eg, https://localhost - should not be empty for productive servers
define('ENABLE_SSL', false); // secure webserver for checkout procedure?

Make sure the https://yourdomain.com is correct to point to your site thru https://

and change false to true

Also can do the same in the admin/includes/configure.php if you want the admin area to be behind SSL

my site is still not going to the secure part when you go to the checkout.

What else should I have done?

Should I be asking for a server restart once I have changed this script? Because this still has not been changed to https://

Have I got this right?
