MrZen Posted September 7, 2005 Share Posted September 7, 2005 Hi, I'm getting there with my first installation, but now the admin tool is playing up. I've copied it to the root of my website and called the folder somethign different for the moment - when I navigate to that directory, I get the following error: 1046 - No Database Selected select configuration_key as cfgKey, configuration_value as cfgValue from configuration [TEP STOP] Has something gone wrong with the installation? Another problem I'm having is with the catalog itself - the images and stylesheet keep dissappearing and reappearing randomly- anyone else had this problem? ♥Vger Posted September 7, 2005 Share Posted September 7, 2005 This is what I get when I go to your website: Warning: mysql_connect(): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (11) in /home/sites/site251/web/catalog/includes/functions/database.php on line 19Unable to connect to database server! Regarding the 'admin' panel, it's more than likely that the admin/includes/configure.php file did not get written to by the install procedure. Once you have the 'catalog' side of things working correctly you can check the db settings in that against the admin configure.php file.
