Product price not showing in cart

I have added my first product to a new cart and found that although the price shows up in the admin section, it does not show in the cart itself. I changed the default currency to ? but saw that prices were still displaying in dollars, so I removed the dollar currency option from the admin panel. Now my product has no price in the cart.
