How to produce a product list

Hi,

I have added 2 products to my store and deleted all categories as I don't need them. However, when veiwing the page at osCommerce/index.php there is no example product list there.

The closest I can see, is the 'New Products' table but that's not what I want, I want to display all products in my store regardless of how long they have been there. Then I would like my customers to click on a product to purchase it or get further details before purchasing.

Thanks for you help.

You could try using one of the all product contributions. This normally makes a page with all products listed on it that you get to with a link. You could just take the code from there and put it on your index... I think.

Or, you could remove the category box all together so customers don't see it, then install something like Display One Category Index Box http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,2127

If you do that you would need to make sure the customers would have a way to navigate easily back to your index though... or you could install a drop down menu like http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,2848

All that comes to my mind right now.

Thanks for your help Wendy. Unfortunately, I'm a little thicker than you imagined and I don't know what an "all product contribution' is, or where to find one :(

This does sound to me like the most logical route but unfortunately, I don't know how to get all my products (all two of them) to appear on one page, neither can I figure out anyway to link directly to an individual product.

I've read many articles and posts here and I notice that many people are talking about their "product list" but I can't find any way to generate one of those or any documents explaining how this might be achieved.

Any help would really be appreciated. Sorry to be so dense. So that you know where I'm at, I know html, javascript & vb.net but this is my first excursion into the realms of .PHP although I can disect a page and figure out what is going on in the code.

Thanks & Kindest regards

So sorry Wendy. I know now what a 'contribution' is :)

I'm looking into it now. I've found an "all products!" contribution now.

Thanks again. Hopefully I will manage to implement it!
