There are two search related problems with OSC: 1, Slow product searches if you have a lot of products... 2, Searches do not list non product content such as support, user manuals, company information etc. I have problem number 2 but I know many of you have problems with product searches bringing your server to it's knees. MY SUGGESTION: Develop with me a search engine based product/other-stuff search facility based on the phpdig (GNU, GPL) search engine. (MODERATORS: I don't have a line of code yet but when I do, I'll contribute it!) Indexed searches are a zillion times faster than ad-hoc queries and searching non-catalog pages is important for many sites. I've had a look at phpdig and it's got real potential so I'd be glad to hear from you if you can help/are interested. Cheers, Beer Quote Light, in the absence of eyes, illuminates nothing.
