Suggestion for nubies

Can we have a seperate section for newcomers to their websites. MOst of the questions I have seem very simple and I'm sure the solutions are easy but I have no programming knowledge and most help I don't even understand.

 

I can't even change the picture that dispalys my website name and picture, but I have been to a number of links telling me what to do.

 

A simple step by step guide to building the site I want but easy to follow so I don't destroy my site brfoe I even get going!!!!

I am very new at understanding the osCommerce application and very green at using the PHP language and us of MySQL........... so, I thought that I would point you to this link that I just came across today!
