Custom pages for each category

Hi,

 

I curently have STS installed on my osc version and have heavily modifed the template, but i would like to be able to have each main product catergory page looking different. At the minute just the content on each page changes and the menus down the sides stay the same because they are set up like that on my main STS temoplate page, but I would like each main product catergory to have different menus down the sides of the page other than the ones off the main STS templaete, does anyone have any ideas of how this can be done.

 

I would also like to as a white rounded corner box on each page for my content to be displayed in when my products are pulled from the database, I have been trying for months now to find out how to do these things and still cant get to the bottom of it.
