Configuring default.php

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I'm fearly new to OSC and was wondering if there is a way that I could configure my default.php page to start off with the products_new.php page. :'( I've changed just about everything on the default.php page to get this right but I'm still at a loss, nothing seemed to have worked. I don't want to replace the default page I just want the body of the page the same as products_new.php. If anyone have any ideas I would really appreciate it.

Till next time

Thanks for the advice but that still doesn't answer the question. If it is indeed an older version of OSC where can I get the newer version and also how do I go about modifying the, I suppose index.php, page to do what I asked in my previous post?

Thanks in advance!

The current stable release is here:

http://www.oscommerce.com/solutions/downloads

Get that installed and the first page you see will guide you to the first steps in modifying the store.

Local: Mac OS X 10.5.8 - Apache 2.2/php 5.3.0/MySQL 5.4.10 • Web Servers: Linux

Tools: BBEdit, Coda, Versions (Subversion), Sequel Pro (db management)

Ok I've downloaded the latest OSC and it still doesn't explain to me how to change the index.php page to start as if it would be the product_new.php or the new_products.php page. I've done most of the configuring that I wanted to, but I'm stuck at this point and can't seem to find the answer on the forums.

If you're unsure of what I'm asking please just say so and I'll try and explain it again.

Thanks in advance
