stevel
See the Purchase Without Account contribution. This gives your customers a choice. wizardsandwars
The disadvantages of the 'Purchase Without Account' contribution are... 1 - It makes the checkout slightly more confusing. The agerage custerom doesn't understnad the difference between checking out, and checking out wihtout an account. The checkout process is nearly *exactly* the same either way. The bigger thing to focus on here is how long the checkout is. How many pages does the customer have to click through to complete their purcase. The Purchase without account doesn't address this issue. 2- The customer's demographic information is actually removed from your database in the customer's table. Personally, I hate to lose any information that might prove to be valuable for reporting purposes later down the road. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NOTE: As of Oct 2006, I'm not as active in this forum as I used to be, but I still work with osC quite a bit. If you have a question about any of my posts here, your best bet is to contact me though either Email or PM in my profile, and I'll be happy to help.
