googlesitemap module

I have added the googlesitmap module to my site.

I have put the googlesitemap folder in catalog/googlesitemap.

I have put the three xml files in catalog and set to 777 permissions.

 

The problem I am having is that when I try to run the index.php file I get an error

 

Warning: fopen(/blah/local/home/blah/mywebsite.net/catalog/googlesitemapsitemapindex.xml): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /blah/local/home/blah/mywebsite.net/catalog/googlesitemap/sitemap.class.php on line 581

 

Notice that in the path its missing an "/".

 

Any ideas?
